Kellie Martin, an American film and television actress best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston in the period drama series 'Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama' and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series 'ER'. She is also known for appearing in the titular role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Born to a department-store buyer as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin was able to begin her career in acting when she was just seven when her aunt, who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's children, helped her land a guest spot in the 1982 series "Father Murphy.". In the years following the time of her Yale University graduation, she focused on acting, and managed to land substantial roles in the film and television industries. Besides being an actress, Martin is a skilled photographer and dancer. Martin is also a mother of two children and is the official spokesperson for Lupus. After her sister's tragic death at the age of 19 Martin has been trying to educate people about Lupus and its symptoms.
